On March 1, Roskomnadzor began extrajudicially restricting access to information on the Internet that advertises or popularizes means of bypassing blocking access to illegal content. The department noted that 82 pages were blocked for failure to comply with the department’s requirements and failure to remove materials on this topic.
“Basically, prohibited information was posted on pages on social networks, as well as specialized resources aimed at popularizing the use of VPNs to bypass blocking,” the department explained.
