Syria and Iraq report deaths from US attacks on pro-Iranian militias. Damascus has reported fatalities and "significant damage" Iraq's government reported 16 dead and 25 injured.

The US bombed targets in Iraq and Syria linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the militias they support in retaliation for the deaths of three US soldiers in a drone strike in Jordan. US President Joe Biden announced that the attacks would continue in due course. The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the nightly US airstrikes as a "violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity" of the countries.
