Representatives from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao discussed the development of "hard connectivity" and "soft connectivity" in the Greater Bay Area. Wu Yihuan, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said the Bay Area has always been committed to building an international science and technology innovation center with global influence.

"It is recommended that cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Zhuhai be allowed to independently formulate various application standards and regulatory recommendations," he said.
