Record of testimony by former House of Representatives Speaker Takahiro Yokoji released. It has been revealed that he had compiled a reform bill to change the regular session of the Diet to 300 days, effectively making it a year-round session.
The House is carrying out an "oral history" project in which it listens to and records testimonies from past Speakers and Vice-chairs. The second speaker following former Speaker Yohei Kono, a member of the former Democratic Party of Japan, was announced on the 29th.
