German Foreign Office helped with evacuation of SOS Children's Village in Rafah, Gaza. 68 Palestinian children between the ages of two and 14, as well as eleven employees and their family members were evacuated.

The operation is criticized because the action was coordinated by the Ministry of Defense but did not receive approval from the government's security council..
