Qatar Power will sign a long-term liquefied natural gas supply agreement with Bangladesh's state-owned Petrobangla Gas. This is the second Asian sales transaction to be concluded for Qatar's North Field expansion project.Supply is scheduled to begin in January 2026, he said.

The deal is expected to be worth $1.2 billion. The contract is expected for a 15-year period, according to Reuters. It is the first of several LNG contracts to be signed by Qatar Power.
