Qatar calls on the Security Council to take urgent action to prevent the Israeli invasion of Rafah. Doha warned of a humanitarian catastrophe in the city, which has become a final refuge for hundreds of thousands of displaced people inside the besieged Strip.
Rafah contains more than 1,400,000 Palestinians, including 1,300,000 displaced people. The Israeli army is preparing to carry out a ground military operation in Rafah, while the army and security services intend to formulate a plan to evacuate the city.
