Putin supported the initiative to create a grain exchange within the BRICS framework. He made a corresponding statement during a conversation with representatives of the agro-industrial complex.
In December, Putin announced that at the end of 2023, the harvest in Russia was again a record one, with more than 150 million tons of grain produced. He noted that BRICS has grain-producing and grain-buying states, so the idea of an exchange may be of interest to the association.
