Russian leader Vladimir Putin discussed the flood situation in the Orenburg region with the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov. Putin stated the need for timely analysis, forecasting and taking appropriate measures regarding the situation with possible flooding in the Kurgan and Tyumen regions, press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said.

Earlier, K Laurenkov reported that the flood in the Orenburg regional was classified as a federal emergency. The flood is expected to continue for the next few days.
