The "Nikers" gang returned to the forefront of the Sudanese street again, after being involved in a number of looting and theft operations. The gang, which includes teenagers, appeared in the streets of the capital and several states.

The Sudanese police announced the push of the Central Reserve forces to the field, with the aim of securing markets and citizens' properties. The spread of the gang comes amid mutual accusations between the two parties to the conflict in Sudan of colluding with looting.
