Prime Minister Kishida has been in office for 7 days, making his term of office 886 days. He is the ninth post-war prime minister in history, along with former Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka.

He says he has nothing special to say about the length of his tenure, but will continue to take care of what he has accomplished day by day. "I have been working every day on issues that cannot be postponed, such as disaster response, restoring political trust, and raising wages," he said.
