[HIGHLIGHTS] Prime Minister Kishida inspects the Kumamoto factory of Taiwanese semiconductor giant TSMC and provides business support

Prime Minister Kishida toured a factory built by Taiwanese semiconductor giant TSMC in Kumamoto Prefecture. He said the project is expected to have a ripple effect on the Japanese economy as a whole.

The government plans to invest up to 1 trillion yen in total, including the second factory scheduled to be built in the future. TSMC CEO Wei Zhejia said, "We are grateful for the strong support from the Japanese government. We will continue to work hard to build strong relationships"
