Prime Minister Kishida spoke about the actions taken by China and other countries in response to the discharge of treated water from the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant into the ocean. He expressed his intention to continue lobbying for its immediate abolition.

He also stated that he would like to diversify our export destinations, further expand domestic consumption, and do everything possible to support the fishing industry nationwide. He spoke to reporters after attending a memorial service for the Great East Japan Earthquake held in Fukushima Prefecture.
