Prime Minister Kishida’s contribution to the “Support Fund System” is “estimated to be an average of just under 500 yen per person per month”. In order to strengthen countermeasures against the declining birthrate, the government has created a "support system" to collect money from citizens and businesses through public medical insurance.

The government plans to start implementing it in stages from fiscal 2026, with the aim of raising approximately 1 trillion yen by fiscal 2028.
