Presidential election in Senegal: the Constitutional Council aligns with the date of March 24. The Constitutional Council had set the presidential election for March 31, a week after that decided by the presidency.

With this adjustment, the Senegalese can see a way out of the crisis caused by the postponement of the election initially scheduled for February 25. The presidential election will take place on March 24, the council said in a press release on Thursday, March 7. The election will be held before the end of President Macky Sall's mandate on April 2.
