Russian President Vladimir Putin received 87% of the votes in the presidential election. According to the Russian Election Commission, the master of the Kremlin obtained 87.97% of votes after the counting of ballots from 24% of polling stations.
Putin is re-elected for a fifth term, obtaining 87% in the poll by the official Vtsiom institute announced on state television. The election will take place on March 17, 2024, according to state news agency RIA Novosti. The results will be announced at 7:28 p.m. local time.
