On June 2, 2024, 97 million Mexicans will vote to elect deputies, mayors, governors and their new president. This Sunday, April 7, the first presidential debate took place.

Among the themes covered: health, education, violence against women, the fight against corruption particularly animated the candidates. Security, another major theme in Mexico, will be raised by the candidates during one of the next two debates which will take place before the elections. In Mexico, two women compete for the presidency: Claudia Sheinbam and Xóchitl Gálvez.
