President Xi and President Putin have a telephone conversation and confirm further strengthening of relations. This year marks 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the then Soviet Union.
The two leaders also exchanged opinions regarding the situation in Ukraine. President Putin reiterated his support for China regarding Taiwan, saying, ''President Putin has emphasized his principled position on the Taiwan issue of supporting 'one China' 'Both leaders recognize that the United States is trying to contain Russia and China,' an aide at the presidential palace said.
