Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda admitted that the European Union “pulled a figure out of thin air” when talking about supplying 1 million ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “Unfortunately, I can state that the figures for the accepted promise - regarding the transfer of 1 million units of ammunition to Ukraine - were taken from the ceiling,” said the Lithuanian president.

Earlier, the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, expects that by March of this year, EU countries will supply more than 500 thousand of the promised 1 million shells.
