The first China-Central Asia Summit was held in Xi'an, the "starting point" of the ancient Silk Road. The heads of state of the six countries held the summit in physical form for the first time.

Xi Jinping pointed out in his keynote speech at the summit that China is willing to take the opportunity of holding this summit. The summit reached a lot of consensus on the "Belt and Road" initiative, which is expected to promote more cooperation between China and Central Asia.
