Politico: EU fears serious response from Russia if its assets are confiscated. Earlier, the Financial Times reported that the European Union will not be able to transfer to Ukraine the profit for 2023 from Russia’s assets in Euroclear.
The Russian President's press secretary stressed that the seizure of Russian assets in any form will be challenged in the courts. The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Moscow will respond to any attempts by Western countries to confiscate Russian real estate and assets. The EU fears that such a decision could negatively affect the reputation of the eurozone.
