Political setback for Milei: the Senate rejects his December mega decree, but the president promises to accelerate. The Upper House rejected the DNU by 42 votes to 25, with three abstentions.

It is the first time in 30 years that the Senate votes in favor of the rejection of a DNU, although never before has a government decided by decree such broad and profound reforms. The DNU has 366 provisions in more than 80 pages that even modify the Civil and Commercial Codes, which are laws of Congress.
