The Liberal Democratic Party is coordinating to hold a political ethics review committee. The opposition party has requested that all 51 members of the House of Representatives from the Abe and Nikai factions attend the committee.

Some opposition parties believe that unless there is a guarantee that a review committee will be held in a manner that will clarify the actual situation, the government should not respond to deliberations on the new fiscal year's budget bill. The battle between the ruling and opposition parties is expected to become more intense in the coming months.
