The Paris Stock Exchange broke new records on Tuesday, amid renewed optimism after the banking shock in March. The flagship CAC 40 index closed at its highest since January 5, 2022, at 7,390.28 points.

Since the beginning of the year, the index has gained more than 14%. However, the shares of the banks Société Générale, BNP Paribas and Crédit Agricole did not recover the losses they recorded on the sidelines of the bankruptcy of the American bank Silicon Valley Bank.
