The Pakistani army recently announced the capture of Gulzar Imam, known as "Shambay" Imam is the leader of the so-called Balochistan National Army in the southwestern province of Balochistani. Observers say Imam's arrest represents a blow to the insurgency in Bolchistan and Indian plans in Pakistan.
Imam was a dual national with a fake Afghan passport and worked from Afghanistan and India alongside Iran, according to security analysts. He was arrested in September last year in Turkey, some reports claimed.
