The OQ8 Duqm Refinery was opened in the south of the Sultanate of Oman. It is a joint investment project between Oman and Kuwait at an estimated cost of about $9 billion.

The refinery contributes to increasing the production capacity of Omani refineries from 230,000 barrels per day to 500,000 Barrels per Day. The cost of the refinery is approximately $9billion, and it is considered one of the largest investment projects in Oman and between two Gulf countries.
