Olympic medals are on the rise among collectors. Auction houses and private collectors are working behind the scenes to buy them up.
Catherine Salaün has a collection of 12 Olympic medals. The more recent they are, the higher the price goes. For example, medals from the Rio 2016 or Tokyo 2020 games sell for around 20,000 euros, says the collector, who will wait for the 2024 games to be held before buying them for her own collection..
