Olaf Scholz will speak to country leaders about refugee policy next week. Actually, the Chancellor and Prime Minister were not supposed to discuss things together again until June.

Now there is a much earlier date. The meeting of the state prime ministers should actually have taken place on March 7th and without the Chancellor. The rescheduling now allows the Chancellor to come to the conference table. However, he will not attend the entire meeting, but will only be there for two hours for the agenda item “Discussion between the heads of government of the federal states and the Federal Chancellor on refugee policy”
