Olaf Scholz has been using the same leather briefcase for almost 40 years. Now interested parties have come forward who would like to take over the good piece one day.

The Museum Haus der Geschichte in Bonn and the SPD-affiliated Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) have expressed interest in the bag. The Chancellery has not yet decided who should be awarded the contract to take the bag, size 40 by 34 centimeters. The bag has a "historical value", according to the FES.
