The editor-in-chief of the Malmö newspaper Tempus has been convicted of accounting offences and must pay a 40-day fine. The chairman of the board is convicted of aggravated fraud, attempted aggravated fraud and accounting offences.

The newspaper's parent company allegedly purchased subscriptions, which were then incorrectly listed as individual subscriptions. To be eligible for press support, the circulation must be at least 1500 subscriptions. The real figure was 1165, and the newspaper has not reported invoices of just over SEK 1.7 million.
