In Germany you can form parties and take part in elections. You don't have to submit 100,000 signatures to run for office.

You can also not be assimilated if you question existing law. But in a constitutional state, you can still run in elections without any problems. The future of the country is in the hands of the people, rather than the government. It's not clear if the country will ever get out of the crisis it has been in since the fall of the Soviet Union.
