In an article in the New York Times, American David French welcomed President Joe Biden's decision to allow the supply of F-16 aircraft. French explained that the F- 16s have the ability to strike Russian forces at the front and remotely, as well as improve the air defense capability that Ukraine needs now more than ever.
He stressed that it is the decision made when moving from a long-term strategy of keeping Ukraine out of Ukraine to a strategy of "deterring renewed Russian aggression after this war"
