There are 440,000 rechargeable cars on Swedish roads. According to the EU's minimum requirements, there is currently a shortage of 25,000 charging stations.

The white spots are found in the western parts of Norrbotten and Västerbotten counties, but also in Dalarna and Kalmar counties. The lack of charging points can have counterproductive knock-on effects, says Carl-Erik Stjernvall, technical expert and sustainability manager at the National Association M Sweden.
