New crossings in northern Syria... facilitating movement or increasing taxes?.

The reality of the economy of the Syrian opposition-controlled areas seems blurry to some, but the crossings between the Aleppo and Idlib countryside shed light on the difficulties that merchants and consumers in the region are experiencing. The "Syrian Interim Government", affiliated with the opposition National Coalition, has begun work on establishing two crossings parallel to the "Ghazawiyah" and "Deir Ballut" crossings. The government indicated that the Federation of Chambers of Commerce in the Aleppo countryside demanded the establishment of internal demarcation crossings to protect producers and consumers.
