The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned the Israeli occupation's intention to restrict Palestinian access to the blessed Al-a-qsa Mosque. Hamas considered that the violation of freedom of worship in the blessed al-AQsa Mosque indicates the occupation”s intention to escalate its aggression against the mosque. The Supreme Fatwa Council in Palestine warned of a religious war following the Israeli decision.
