Russia has evidence that the U.S. is creating a "Free Syrian Army" in the vicinity of Syrian Raqqa in order to use militants against the official authorities in Damascus.
"We would like to once again point out the destructive line of the United States, which, apparently, is no longer enough to pump weapons into the illegal armed groups they created in the Euphrates and Al-Tanf," Russian Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzya said at a meeting of the UN Security Council. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also noted earlier that the Americans began to create the so-called "Free Syria Army" with the participation of local Arab tribes and militants.
