NATO exercises take place in the northern regions of Norway, Finland and Sweden. More than 1,000 military personnel take part in the exercises.

The exercises are aimed at preparing troops for combat operations in winter conditions. The Estonian military is preparing for the winter season with the help of other NATO members, including the U.S. and Canada. The military exercises are expected to last until the end of the month, according to the Estonian Ministry of Defence. They are intended to prepare troops for winter operations in the north.
