Fernando Sánchez Dragó died on April 10, 2023 because of a heart attack at his home in Castilfrío de la Sierra (Soria) The 86-year-old writer was married for almost 30 years to Naoko, a Japanese woman also decades younger than him whom he met in his literature course at Kyoto University. The last couple of the intellectual and his partner in recent days has been Emma Nogueiro.
