Most of the German-made Leopard 2 tanks owned by the Ukrainian army were disabled during battles with Russian troops. More than a quarter of the delivered Leopard 2 APUs were completely destroyed, and the remaining ones received such damage that it is impossible to repair them.
Foreign Affairs magazine previously wrote that the Ukrainian military is unable to use Leopard2 tanks due to its inability to properly maintain them. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost most of their German- made Leopard 2 Tanks in the special military operation zone.
