Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will meet his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mekdad. The quadripartite meeting will allow "exchanging views on the normalization of relations between Turkey and Syria," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.

The intelligence chiefs of Turkey, Russia, Iran and the Syrian regime have already met three times, and defense ministers have met twice. The Arab League suspended Syria's membership in response to the regime's suppression of protests calling for its overthrow that began in March 2011.
