The 28th edition of the International Publishing and Book Fair began in Rabat in early June and ends on Sunday. There was a decline in attendance compared to the previous edition because the exhibition period coincides with the end-of-year exams.

Inflation in Morocco has hit unprecedented levels in the past few months, at the end of February, for example, at 10.1%. The central bank raised interest rates three times from September last year to March in an effort to contain inflation. The books that are most popular are academic books and children's books.
