Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Moriyama responded to reports that organizations affiliated with the former Unification Church were sending church-related magazines free of charge every month to local offices. He reiterated that he had already severed his ties with the cult.
He also commented on the series of allegations regarding his relationship with the religious group, saying, ``I feel that these reports were published and used as the perfect material to criticize the ruling party'' said. He added that he will take action to avoid any suspicions in his relationship in the future.
