[HIGHLIGHTS] Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry urges ``everything to be done to ensure safety'' after water leaks from purification equipment at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant

On the 7th, at TEPCO's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, water containing radioactive materials leaked from the exhaust port of a contaminated water purification device. The amount of water that leaked was estimated to be approximately 5.5 tons, and it is believed that it contained radioactive materials equivalent to approximately 220 times the national reporting standard.

Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Saito stated at a press conference after the Cabinet meeting on the 9th, there has been no change in the radiation dose values.
