U.S. President Barack Obama has called for the creation of a joint military-industrial complex in Ukraine.
He also called on the European Union to join forces with the United States in the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (IS), which he called a terrorist organization. The IS has been accused of using its territory as a staging ground for attacks on the West, including the U.S.-led invasion of Crimea. The Russian government has denied the allegations, saying that the IS is behind the attacks, and that it is only trying to protect its citizens.
