Member of the OP Alexey Koshel: the elections demonstrated the highest level of public interest. Koshel noted that never in the history of Russia has turnout in presidential elections exceeded 70%.
“Such a phenomenal result is unattainable for many “civilized” countries that are still trying to teach us democracy,” concluded the HSE Vice-Rector. Earlier, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia, Ella Pamfilova, said that the turnout for the Russian presidential elections was 77.44%.
