At first instance, in March 2021, a fine of 90,600 euros was imposed on the company. The fine is in addition to the profits made from the sale of the product.
The company has asked for a further fine of up to 100,000 euros. The trial is expected to last until the end of the month, when it will be decided on a maximum fine of $100,000 for each year of the trial. The case is being heard by the Court of Appeal of Paris.
