Nicolas de Tavernost, 73, will leave his post as chairman of the group's board of directors in April, earlier than expected. He will be replaced by David Larramendy.
After the planned merger with TF1, which did not come to fruition, "the shareholders asked me to extend my mandate", he said in Le Figaro. He also announced the news on X (formerly Twitter) with a video showing a hand turning off the remote control. His departure was confirmed by the channel which published its 2023 results on Tuesday evening.
