The Federation Council approved at a plenary meeting a law on the agreement with Great Britain on fisheries. It is necessary to carefully analyze all existing international agreements, says the head of the Council, Valentina Matvienko.

She says that agreements that give unilateral privileges an advantage to hostile countries are unfavorable for Russia. The law was approved by a vote of the Federation Council, with the majority of the members in favor of the law, and the minority in favour of it, with only one abstention.
