Large explosions and gunfire can be heard in various parts of Sudan's capital Khartoum. According to the paramilitary RSF, the movement is attacked by the army.

RSF said in a statement that it had taken control of the presidential palace. Flight data shows that planes turned around after almost landing at the airport. It is about a split between the two parallel military powers that has developed in Sudan. But the latest split increases fears of a new civil war in the African country. The country's then leader Omar al-Bashir sent out militias to spread fear in Darfur in western Sudan.
