Maite Pagazaurtundúa will not repeat on the Citizens lists for the European ones and leaves politics after more than 25 years. The news, reported by The Objective, does not come as a surprise to people around her, because the MEP had already told them some time ago that she intended to leave politics.
Her brother Joseba was murdered by ETA in 2003, after years of harassment, threats and attacks. After the murder, she had to move out of the Basque Country with her family.
